Phyto-Soy
Standardized Soy Powder Fights Cancer
Soybeans have been used for their medicinal value ever since the early ages of China and in the product Phyto-Soy that tradition continues. As scientists further research on soy they have discovered that the genistein and isoflavones found in soy fight cancer cells.

Soy is the only vegetable which provides all eight essential amino acids. As a complete protein soy supplies the amino acids (not provided by the body) at the same time and in the right amounts, which is important for the body to be able to use them. Proteins are the "building blocks" of the human body, forming all body tissue. Proteins are also involved in other important life processes such as being used as fuel by cells, assisting in transporting molecules and helping muscles to contract. Soy is rich in vitamin B, calcium and linoleic and linolenic essential fatty acids.

With soy containing so many elements important to basic body functioning, it is easy to see why it would be beneficial during times of sickness. Historically the Chinese have used soy to help such conditions as arthritis, blurry vision, burns, dizziness, excessive sweating, headache, long term leg ulcers, poisoning due to drugs and sore throats.

Today scientific research shows that soy works against cancer cells. It contains isoflavones, plant estrogens which act like a weak form of human estrogen. Soy estrogen supplements the stronger human estrogen, bringing about a milder effect and blocking the human estrogen from making contact with cancer forming cells. In this way the isoflavones in soy protect against prostate, ovarian, cervical and breast cancer.

Studies show that this mild plant estrogen , may be beneficial for older women in additional ways, relieving some of the side effects of menopause and slowing osteoporosis.

Genistein is a part of the isoflavones in soy. During research genistein was shown to inhibit cancer in a petri dish. As more studies were done on tumors, it was found that as tumors form, new blood vessels form which run to the tumor to feed the growing cells. Genistein prevents these new blood vessels from growing which in turn prevents the growth of tumors. Genistein is also an antioxidant and has also been shown to change complex cancer cells into simple, inactive cells which are not a threat to health.

Soy has also been scientifically proven to lower high cholesterol. In a study done at the University of Milan, scientists put patients on a low fat diet in effort to lower their cholesterol. The cholesterol was lowered, but only when soy was added to the patients' diets did the cholesterol levels drop dramatically (21% in three weeks). In rabbits this drop in cholesterol due to soy was also shown to prevent arteriosclerosis.

To protect against cancer or aid a cancer treatment program take three capsules Phyto-Soy with meals three times daily with meals. Drink one glass (8 oz.) of water with the capsules.
